about

Literally: "Half-night", an ancient Luxembourgish term expressing the notion of "midnight", the point where night turns to early day again and things go bump in the dark.
The aim hear was clear: to write the spookiest REGGAE song ever written, same sort of horror-reggae, if such a style would exist. It was a double challenge: for a Two-Tone-style Ska band to write a REGGAE song that sounds halfway authentic is already no small feat, but to then make it the most spooky and eerie reggae song ever heard only ups the antes... as you may know there is no more UN-spooky and relaxing, soothing and generally peaceful type of music than reggae... now listen to this song and tell us you find it not spooky at all in any way! It was recorded in 2005 with the old line-up of Toxkäpp! and is the very last studio recording of our much-missed friend and organ player TUN, sadly no longer with us today (RIP) and it was used on the original soundtrack of the well-known ZOMBIE FILM, a Luxemburgish parody of that sub-genre. We kindly than the people behind CAMERA OBSCURA asbl for the use and re-release of this song.
